In case
you are wondering what this cooking sequence has to to with election returns,
the Arlington election returns are in my back pocket. A specious connection,
but enough of one for the Internet.

Obviously
the cooking of chicken parmesan is not a newsworthy event, but it is a great
excuse for trying out a new digital camera. |
Once upon
a time, I would stay up watching election returns until the election is
decided.
Ten days
after the 2000 Presidential Election, we still didn't know who
won the election. While Florida was battling over a couple of hundred
votes, we knew Al Gore carried Arlington by 9,495 votes. So now what?
Cook chicken
parmesan and listen to NPR discuss the latest legal decisions, of course.
After all, the old tradition of staying awake until the election is decided
is obsolete.
